Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha declared the state as not a 'safe zone' for infiltrators, attributing the shift to decisive actions by security forces. His comments follow an anti-infiltration drive launched by the BJP's ally, the Tipra Motha Party.
Amidst a recent surge of efforts to curb illegal border crossings, Saha asserted that strong operations against infiltration have been conducted. Meeting security agencies, Saha expressed resolve against the misuse of forged Aadhaar cards for entering the state.
Addressing the controversial call-to-action from a Tipra Motha Party minister to repel infiltrators using force, Saha underlined the government's dedication to addressing concerns, endorsing open dialogue with the party to resolve issues.
