Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy claims foreign mercenaries from countries like China, Pakistan, and African nations are fighting in northeastern Ukraine. He accuses Russia of recruiting these fighters, a charge that Beijing denies, while North Korean forces are reportedly in Russia's Kursk region. Moscow has yet to comment on these claims.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has alleged the involvement of foreign mercenaries in the conflict in northeastern Ukraine. He claims these fighters hail from countries including China, Pakistan, and African nations, taking part in the battle against Ukrainian forces.
Zelenskiy previously accused Moscow of enlisting Chinese fighters in its war efforts against Ukraine, although Beijing has denied these allegations. Additionally, North Korean troops are believed to be present in Russia's Kursk region.
During a visit to the frontline in the Kharkiv region, Zelenskiy discussed defense strategies with commanders. Despite requests for comments, the embassies of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan, as well as Russian officials, have yet to respond to these assertions.
