The measure, endorsed during a July 29 meeting involving the Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) and south district authorities, has been deemed essential to monitor and prevent the misuse of dual-use medications. Installation of surveillance cameras is a preventive step to enhance oversight in these medical facilities.

Authorities caution that shops failing to comply with the order will face legal consequences. Sub-divisional magistrates, along with police and drug inspectors, have been tasked with ensuring enforcement across South Delhi.
