The Karnataka government has dismissed Pramod Kumar, an assistant cook at a hostel run by the Backward Classes Welfare department in Basavakalyana. His relief from duty comes after accusations of his participation in a march organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), following a WhatsApp complaint.

The District Backward Classes Welfare Officer acted swiftly, informing the Secretary/Chief Administrative Officer of the Bidar District Labour Services Multipurpose Cooperative Society, leading to Kumar's dismissal. The state's civil service conduct rules clearly prohibit government-paid staff from engaging with political organizations.

This incident follows the suspension of Praveen Kumar K P, a Panchayat Development Officer, for attending an RSS event last week. The state government emphasizes strict adherence to rules preventing government ties with political groups, reinforcing discipline among its employees.
