During a session marking the UN's 80th anniversary, Jaishankar underscored the increasing polarization within UN debates. He emphasized the urgent need for reforms to restore the institution's credibility in upholding international peace.
Citing the slowing pace of the Sustainable Development Goals Agenda 2030, Jaishankar warned that development, trade, and political independence could face severe setbacks without commitment to multilateralism, even criticizing global efforts that equate terror victims with perpetrators.
