Mau District Magistrate Praveen Mishra has firmly dismissed claims made by Samajwadi Party MP Rajeev concerning voter name removals during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the Ghosi Lok Sabha constituency.
According to a social media statement on Sunday, Mishra described these allegations as 'baseless,' highlighting the apparent lack of factual evidence in the complaint. He underscored the smooth progress of the SIR process, emphasizing that Booth Level Officers have largely completed their tasks, and the digitization of forms is well underway.
Mishra reassured the public that, once the draft electoral roll is published, any claims and objections will be properly addressed. He also clarified that any previous modifications to the voter list related to potential by-elections were conducted separately and transparently, ensuring no names were removed in the ongoing revision process.
