Delhi Police have made a significant breakthrough by arresting four individuals from a mobile phone theft syndicate, recovering 40 high-end smartphones. This recovery follows the recent thefts at the AP Dhillon concert, where over 20 devices were reportedly stolen.
The gang used innovative techniques, such as wrapping stolen iPhones in aluminum foil to obstruct tracking and signal detection, before selling them swiftly in Ghaziabad's grey market. This tactic allowed them to evade digital tracking features like 'Find My iPhone'.
The arrested individuals, identified as Salman, Imran, Shahrukh, and Wasim, all residents of Ghaziabad, have a history of theft-related offenses. Investigations are continuing to trace remaining phones to victims and uncover other syndicate members.
