The Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant, announced on Thursday that efforts are underway to extradite Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra from Thailand. The brothers are co-owners of the nightclub 'Birch by Romeo Lane,' where a recent fire resulted in 25 fatalities.

Authorities in Goa have sought the assistance of the Union home ministry and Ministry of External Affairs to expedite this process. Measures include the issuance of an Interpol Blue Corner notice and a request to cancel the accused's passports.

Local panchayat official Raghuvir Bagkar faces arrest for non-cooperation in the investigation, while two other officials have been suspended. The Luthra brothers fled to Thailand shortly after the fire, igniting an intense manhunt.
