Cleric Tauqeer Raza's Legal Troubles Deepen: More Chargesheets Filed
Police in Uttar Pradesh have filed chargesheets against Ittehad-e-Millat Council president Tauqeer Raza in several violence-related cases. Raza, involved in the September 26 unrest in Bareilly, allegedly orchestrated the violence. Investigations continue in three unresolved cases as authorities clamp down on his associates.

Police have escalated legal proceedings against Ittehad-e-Millat Council president Tauqeer Raza, filing chargesheets in three additional cases connected to the September 26 violence in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
Seven out of ten registered cases now have chargesheets, with investigations continuing, according to statements from Senior Superintendent of Police Anurag Arya. He confirmed that earlier chargesheets had been filed in four cases.
Raza, a cleric, is accused of orchestrating the violence, purportedly incited through his aides, as tensions arose from a protest over controversial posters. Arrests, including of Raza and nearly 90 others, have followed, while police continue to investigate remaining cases.
