A Karnataka woman is facing charges after allegedly obstructing a police inspector's official duties by insisting he accept her love proposal and threatening suicide. According to police, her repeated harassment and threats have raised concerns within law enforcement circles.
Authorities indicated the woman began her advances on October 30, bombarding the inspector with calls from unrecognized numbers, alongside threats to leverage influence from high-profile individuals, including top political leaders, to coerce his compliance. Photographic evidence and claims of ties with officials were part of her persuasion tactics.
Despite instructions to lodge formal complaints for grievances, the woman persisted in her pursuits through disruptive communication and visits, even delivering letters purporting they were penned in her blood. Her behavior extended beyond this case, reportedly impacting other officials in the past. On December 12, her threat to commit suicide at the police station finally led to her apprehension under specific legal sections, marking an ongoing investigation into the matter.
