In a significant legal development, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been relocated from Brazil's Federal Police Superintendency to the Papuda Penitentiary Complex in Brasilia on Thursday. The move was mandated by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, as disclosed by the court.

Bolsonaro, who is serving a 27-year sentence for orchestrating a coup, will occupy a more spacious cell within Papudinha, a facility that has previously housed Brazilian political figures. This transfer aims to ensure better medical care and family visitation conditions than what he experienced at the superintendency.

The ex-president's new conditions include a significant 65-square-meter cell, complete with basic living amenities. This transfer occurs against Bolsonaro's plea for 'humanitarian house arrest' over medical concerns, a request denied by Moraes over perceived flight risks.
