Accused of accepting a Rs 50,000 bribe, Haridwar District Supply Officer Shyam Arya and his assistant, Gaurav Sharma, were arrested after months of investigation. This operation was set in motion following a complaint lodged by a local ration dealer, leading to a definitive sting operation by the authorities.
In light of the arrests, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has reaffirmed the government's zero-tolerance policy on corruption, urging citizens to report corruption through designated channels, assuring them of confidentiality while promising decisive action.
