In an impassioned plea from Tehran's Evin prison, British detainee Craig Foreman called on UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to challenge the espionage charges leveled against him and his wife publicly. The couple, sentenced to 10 years in prison on accusations of spying for Britain and Israel, continue to assert their innocence.
Foreman shared his message through a voice recording, highlighting life under the threat of escalating violence in Iran. He accused the British government of failing to defend their innocence, expressing deep frustration over the lack of public support and guidance from the authorities.
The British foreign ministry previously labeled the charges as "totally unjustifiable," promising continued efforts for the couple's release. As tensions rise in Tehran, including recent airstrikes near Evin prison, Foreman insists on more proactive intervention from the UK government to secure their safety.
