Amid efforts to bolster emergency response services, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched 400 vehicles for 'Dial 112' in Chhattisgarh, aiming to modernize and accelerate assistance across the state. This initiative seeks to make emergency services more responsive to citizen needs using advanced technology.

On his three-day visit to Chhattisgarh, Shah also unveiled 33 mobile forensic science laboratories, aimed at enhancing the role of forensic science in law enforcement by providing necessary tools across all districts. The state's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, who inspected the venue, emphasized the importance of these developments under new criminal laws.

The revamped service integrates police, fire, medical emergencies, and helpline services on one platform, featuring GPS-enabled vehicles and real-time monitoring. This overhaul is expected to enhance public safety and emergency response outcomes, continuing the service's mission since 2018 of aiding citizens in need.
