Rajasthan Unveils Visionary Budget 2024-25: Aiming for Progressive Development

Hailing the newly presented Rajasthan budget for 2024-25, Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa emphasized the government's developmental vision. The budget, outlined by Deputy CM and Finance Minister Diya Kumari, lays a comprehensive road map for progress in the state.
In a conversation with ANI, Bairwa described the budget as development-focused, crediting Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for steering the initiative. He expressed gratitude to the CM and congratulated the Rajasthani populace, highlighting the inclusive nature of the budget which aims to touch all segments and regions.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, addressing the media, reiterated that the budget mirrors the Prime Minister's vision of Viksit Bharat. He announced plans for 4 lakh government jobs, with 1 lakh positions opening within a year, and detailed initiatives to boost young talents through sports colleges and district-level 'Khelo Rajasthan' events, setting sights on the 2036 Olympics. The budget, Sharma stated, is designed to provide a stable foundation for the state's ambitious development goals.
Deputy CM Diya Kumari elaborated on the budget's comprehensive nature, covering areas such as youth, women, farmers, sports, and infrastructure, which has seen a 1.5-fold increase in funding. She emphasized that the budget supports the goal of making Rajasthan a developed state by 2047, in line with PM Modi's vision.
The financial blueprint includes an estimated revenue of Rs 2.64 lakh crores against an expenditure of Rs 2.90 lakh crores. The action plan under Amrit Kalkhand focuses on transforming Rajasthan into a 350-billion-dollar economy, enhancing basic amenities, empowering farmers, developing MSMEs and large industries, heritage conservation, and providing social security, while advocating for good governance.
