Samajwadi Party MP Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi emphasizes the need for consensus in implementing a Uniform Civil Code, asserting that any forced move would be unconstitutional. During an interaction with PTI editors, Nadvi highlighted that issues such as education and health are priorities for all communities, including Muslims.
Nadvi, an imam with 19 years of experience, won the Rampur Lok Sabha seat with overwhelming support. Reflecting on the trend of renaming places, the first-time MP stated that true progress stems from active work and removing societal negativity, not merely altering names.
Discussing his foray into politics, Nadvi attributed his success to public confidence and support from all societal sections, negating any opposition within the party. He chose the Samajwadi Party because of its inclusive ideology. Addressing Parliament, he expressed hope that members would work together for progress, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.
