Senior NCP leader Praful Patel announced on Friday that no final decisions have been made regarding seat sharing among ruling alliance parties for the Maharashtra assembly elections.
Addressing party members in Tiroda, Gondia, Patel urged all functionaries to work diligently within their constituencies. He underscored that the Ajit Pawar-led NCP follows the precedents set by Chhatrapati Shahu, Mahatma Phule, Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He called for combating the opposition's narrative that the BJP-led alliance intends to alter the Constitution and eliminate reservations.
Praising government schemes such as the state's Ladki Bahin Yojana and the Centre's Ayushman Bharat health initiative, Patel denounced the opposition INDI alliance for only uniting during elections for power. He emphasized the need for strong leadership and stable governance. Patel also discussed the future implications of delimitation on electoral seats and voiced his intentions for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
