Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a scathing attack on the Opposition for avoiding the debate on Operation Sindoor. He accused them of aligning with narratives similar to Pakistan's, and questioned their reluctance to address the issue in Parliament.
Chouhan particularly singled out senior Congress leader P Chidambaram for demanding proof of Pakistan's involvement in the Pahalgam terror attack, which triggered Operation Sindoor. He condemned such demands, likening them to Pakistan's discourse. Chouhan questioned, "Are they afraid of being unmasked?"
Meanwhile, Union Minister Piyush Goyal lambasted the Opposition for disrespecting India's armed forces by dodging accountability and recognition for the operation's success. Goyal asserted that their behavior indicates a negative mindset and disconnect with public sentiment, warning that citizens will keep them accountable.
In the Lok Sabha, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led the long-anticipated discussion on Operation Sindoor. He lauded the military operation as historic, commending the soldiers' unwavering readiness to sacrifice for the nation, and reiterated India's firm stance against terrorism.
