UP BJP Cracks Down on Internal Disciplines

The Uttar Pradesh BJP has issued a show-cause notice to ex-MP Anil Shukla Warsi and two former district presidents of Kanpur Dehat for making statements that harmed the party’s image. They have been asked to explain their actions within seven days to avoid disciplinary action.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh has taken action against significant party figures, citing severe breaches of discipline. A show-cause notice has been issued to Anil Shukla Warsi, a former Member of Parliament, along with Manoj Shukla and Rajesh Tiwari, two ex-district presidents from Kanpur Dehat, for activities said to mar the party's public image.

Signed by BJP state general secretary and MLA Govind Narain Shukla, the notice demands an explanation from the trio within a week. Sources within the party reveal that their recent actions and comments, which have been widely shared on social media, are viewed as damaging and defying party rules.

Manoj Shukla admitted to holding a press conference in Akbarpur, during which he alleged caste-based factionalism within the local BJP. Amidst this, Warsi's controversial social media statements have gained significant attention, whereas Tiwari has remained unreachable for comments.
