YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of claiming undue credit for securing Google's USD 15 billion data center investment. Reddy argued that the groundwork was laid during the previous YSRCP regime, alongside efforts from the Union and Singapore governments and Adani Group.
The former chief minister, at a press conference, criticized Naidu for attempting to hijack credit for the project, drawing parallels to previous claims over Hyderabad's cyber towers. He stated that Adani is slated to invest Rs 87,000 crore in the project before Google takes over, asserting that the true credit belongs to YSRCP.
Reddy also addressed several other issues, accusing the government of diluting the Aarogyasri health scheme and criticized plans for privatising medical colleges. Allegations extended to the institutionalisation of spurious liquor production, highlighting TDP's involvement in illegal operations. Reddy claimed this jeopardized public welfare by resulting in revenue losses and endangering health.
