Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal has launched a scathing attack on the Mahayuti government, which recently marked its first year in office. He called for a special financial package from the Centre to address the state's financial woes, describing the current situation as akin to 'bankruptcy'.
During a press conference, Sapkal criticized the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, accusing the state government of promoting anarchy and hatred. He alleged that government land was being sold off illegally and that promises made to citizens remain unfulfilled. Sapkal also claimed that Fadnavis had compromised the pride of Maharashtra by acting as a 'rubber stamp' for Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Sapkal further alleged that the law and order situation had deteriorated under Fadnavis's rule, dubbing the Mahayuti a 'triple engine sarkar' that is ineffective. He stressed the need for the government to honor its commitments to the people by seeking support from the Union government to avert Maharashtra's financial crisis.
