The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday accused the ruling National Conference of abandoning its fight for the restoration of special status for Jammu and Kashmir. According to PDP leader Waheed Para, the National Conference's facade of championing Article 370 is now over.
In a post on X, the PDP alleged that the National Conference has transitioned from branding others as BJP's B Team to actively implementing BJP's agenda of statehood and business rules. The PDP criticized the National Conference for normalizing the August 5 Article 370 abrogation and establishing a 'holy alliance'.
The remarks came following a memorandum submitted by three National Conference Rajya Sabha members to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in which they requested restoration of statehood, establishment of business rules, and the relocation of prisoners back to the union territory's prisons.
