BJP national general secretary Arun Singh launched a critique against the Congress on Friday, accusing the party of engaging in what he called "destructive and negative politics" that have been dismissed by the public.
Singh specifically accused Congress of disseminating false claims that the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) was being discontinued. He clarified that a new law has been enacted to address deficiencies in the current scheme.
Singh highlighted decisive electoral victories for the BJP in states like Haryana, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Bihar, attributing them to public confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development-driven governance. Alleging significant corruption during Congress rule, Singh pointed to irregularities within MGNREGA, including fraudulent activities like the repetitive digging of pits. Singh promoted the newly introduced G RAM G scheme as a dynamic alternative that provides 125 days of employment and enforces accountability, aiming to elevate rural living standards and promote development. He also lauded the Bhajanlal Sharma-led government in Rajasthan for its fair and timely conduct of competitive examinations.
