Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin convened a strategic meeting with senior leaders of his Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party ahead of the assembly poll count scheduled for May 4. Fresh from a four-day vacation in Kodaikanal, Stalin assessed the ground realities across different regions with prominent party figures.

In a bid to galvanize his alliance partners, Stalin also engaged with state Congress committee president, K Selvaperunthagai, and KMDK General Secretary E R Eswaran at the party's headquarters, Anna Arivalayam. These discussions centered on victory forecasts and the crucial logistics of monitoring the vote count.

The DMK, contesting in 164 constituencies, shares its political battlefield with its ally Congress, which is vying in 28 assembly segments. Tamil Nadu's assembly elections took place on April 23, setting the stage for a pivotal counting day.
