In a notable step forward in its battle against air pollution, the Haryana government detailed its significant achievements and innovative initiatives during a Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change review meeting.
Haryana's Additional Chief Secretary of Environment, Sudhir Rajpal, informed attendees of enhanced measures across districts linked to the National Capital Region, chaired by MoEF&CC Secretary Tanmay Kumar.
The meeting, conducted virtually, reviewed air quality and sought comprehensive updates from states on pollution-control actions. Haryana showcased a reduction in stubble burning incidents and the introduction of cleaner fuels and mechanical road cleaners, while technological monitoring systems help minimize farm fires, supported by a World Bank-funded Clean Air Programme.
