The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to relocate the Super League phase matches and the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy from Indore to Pune. This decision, confirmed by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, was made due to logistical challenges.
The group league stages of the National T20 championship are underway in Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Kolkata. The Super League, initially scheduled to take place in Indore from December 12 to 18, will now be held in Pune.
The change comes after the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association cited a lack of available hotel rooms during the period, compounded by coinciding events, such as marriage ceremonies and a doctors' conference. Pune will host 13 matches, including the final, at Gahunje Stadium and the old MCA ground.
