French automotive giant Citroën has reported a remarkable three-fold increase in sales growth in the Indian market during the December quarter, fueled by the launch of new models and a comprehensive strategic approach. This surge significantly bolstered Stellantis Group's export figures, showing an 18.8% rise this year.
At the heart of Citroën's success is their 'Shift Into The New' strategy, which was unveiled in August, emphasizing localization, expanded dealer networks, and consumer-focused enhancements. Citroën's CEO, Shailesh Hazela, highlighted the brand's pivotal role in Stellantis India's increased exports, particularly with the upcoming global introduction of the Basalt model.
Looking to the future, Citroën India plans to advance its retail and product lines, boost India-specific innovations, and promote sustainable mobility, including electric vehicles. Additionally, partnerships with financial institutions like HDFC Bank will ease financing, aiming to make vehicle ownership more accessible to Indian consumers.
