IndiGo, a major domestic airline, has refunded passengers affected by flight cancellations from December 3 to 5, as confirmed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The airline's offer of Rs 5,000 travel vouchers aims to soften the blow for disrupted travelers.
Despite these measures, complaints about delayed refunds continue to surface on social media, drawing criticism from passengers. Some have shared their frustration over waiting periods extending beyond ten days without resolution, sparking a surge in #RefundDelay posts.
The DGCA has launched an inquiry to examine IndiGo's operational disruptions, with a special committee conducting a comprehensive review. The panel's findings, submitted in late December, are under examination as authorities consider further actions.
