In a recent move to bolster military innovation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revealed investment proposals exceeding Rs 35,000 crore in the state's defence industrial corridors. These corridors, located in strategic areas like Lucknow and Kanpur, are set to become pivotal in manufacturing advanced military technology.
During the NorthTech Symposium's conclusion, Adityanath highlighted the state's commitment to creating a conducive environment for defence manufacturing. Focusing on precision engineering and heavy defence manufacturing, he pointed out that areas like Aligarh and Chitrakoot are rapidly evolving into hubs for military production.
The chief minister emphasized the role of governance reforms and solid infrastructure in attracting major investments. Uttar Pradesh's prioritization of security and skilled workforce underscores its readiness to support this significant venture, aiming to establish itself as a leader in India's defence sector.
