Norway Pledges $306 Million for Ukraine's Air Defense

Norway announced a significant financial commitment to Ukraine's air defense, pledging 3 billion Norwegian crowns to bolster defenses against ballistic missiles. In coordination with Denmark, Germany, and Canada, Norway will procure new Patriot air defense missiles from a U.S. manufacturer, as part of this supportive move.

Norway announced on Tuesday a substantial financial contribution to support Ukraine's air defense, allocating 3 billion Norwegian crowns, equivalent to approximately $306.20 million. This investment aims specifically to enhance defenses against ballistic missile threats.

In collaboration with Denmark, Germany, and Canada, Norway plans to order fresh Patriot air defense missiles from a manufacturing facility in the United States, according to a statement from the Norwegian government.

With this pledge, Norway underscores its commitment to assisting Ukraine amid ongoing regional tensions. As an ally, Norway joins other nations in delivering vital defensive capabilities to Ukraine.
