The Union Budget's emphasis on skilling, entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment could propel India towards becoming a developed nation, stated BJP leader Sambit Patra on Thursday.
During a Lok Sabha debate on the education ministry's grant demands, Patra praised the government's approach. He cited the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) verdict as a clear endorsement of their policies.
The 2024-25 budget allocates Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education-related initiatives, underscoring India's goal of becoming a global skill hub. Patra criticized opposition parties for historical mismanagement of reservations and paper leaks while highlighting significant improvements in education since 2014.
