In Maharashtra's Latur, over 2,000 teachers took to the streets on Friday, staging a protest march to voice various demands.
The demonstration saw participation from at least 29 teachers' unions, representing both government-aided private institutions and Zilla Parishad-run schools.
Among their demands were a review petition on the Teacher Eligibility Test decision, reinstatement of the old pension scheme, regular pay scales, and comprehensive health insurance for educators.
