Telangana is on a transformative journey to bolster temple tourism, as announced by Minister Konda Surekha during the Telangana Rising Global Summit. The state government has planned four major circuits to connect significant temples, aiming for completion by 2047, enhancing both facilities and the spiritual heritage of the region.

In a bid to integrate nature and eco-tourism, a new framework under the Tourism Policy 2025–30 has been unveiled, with the Telangana Forest Development Corporation at the helm. The initiative, branded as 'Deccan Woods and Trails,' hopes to offer 'Less structures, more experiences' across the state's existing 13 eco-tourism circuits.

Further underlining its commitment to sustainability, Telangana is implementing an online booking system to streamline tourist experiences. With 22% green cover, the state pursues net-zero emissions by 2047, alongside improved forest and temple management strategies supporting over 12,000 temples.
