Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, has likened the upcoming MLC elections in Telangana to the high-stakes cricket match between India and Pakistan. In a press briefing, Kumar highlighted the importance of the polls, urging the electorate to choose the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for a promising future.

Drawing a parallel between the sporting rivalry and the political contest, Kumar remarked, "Just as our cricketers met the aspirations of fans, the BJP will triumph in the MLC elections to meet the expectations of graduates and teachers." He further employed the metaphor, stating, "On February 27, a match will take place. BJP represents Team India. Congress represents Team Pakistan. Voters must consider this choice. If you vote for Team India, we will achieve victory. If not, opt for Team Pakistan. Contemplate which team will fulfill your dreams and then cast your vote."

Concluding his analogy, Kumar urged constituents to give BJP a shot at the victory line against Congress in the imminent political showdown. Simultaneously, Telangana Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy made his appeal to graduate voters to secure the success of Congress's Narender Reddy in the MLC elections for Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak. Reddy highlighted Congress's track record, pointing out that in just one year, they filled 55,000 government roles, including 11,000 teaching posts, and ensured timely salaries. Reddy attributed these accomplishments to the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka. The Election Commission of India has slated the MLC elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for February 27, with counting to occur on March 3.
