In a significant move for Ukraine's air defense strategy, Sweden has expressed its intent to supply up to 150 Gripen fighter jets, as revealed by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. Following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Kristersson emphasized the long-term cooperation agreement centered on air defense capabilities.

Addressing a press conference, Kristersson noted the substantial cooperation endeavor between the two nations, underscoring the potential for a historic aircraft export order. President Zelenskiy highlighted the priority of acquiring the Gripen jets for Ukraine, with sights set on deployment beginning next year.
