Prime Minister Modi's Assam Visit: A Cultural and Infrastructure Boost

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to embark on a two-day visit to Assam, as he prepares to participate in key cultural and infrastructure activities. On January 17, at 6 pm, Modi will become part of a traditional Bodo cultural celebration at Guwahati's Bhogeswar Barua Sports Complex, highlighting the heritage of the Bodo community.
The following day, January 18, at 11 am, Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project, valued at over Rs 6,950 crore. This ambitious project aims to improve transportation infrastructure in the region while ensuring the conservation of wildlife in Kaziranga National Park.
Adding to the cultural fervor, over 10,000 Bodo artists will perform the Bagurumba dance, a vivid representation of Bodo folk culture with its motifs inspired by nature. Simultaneously, the Prime Minister is set to flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains, thereby strengthening rail connectivity between Northeast and northern India.
