The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a step to address overdue payments by releasing Rs 250 crore to private hospitals under the Dr NTR Vaidya Seva health scheme. This decision comes after critical discussions between the State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav and Finance Minister P Keshav to expedite fund disbursement.
Health Department Secretary Saurabh Gaur announced that an additional Rs 250 crore is expected to be released soon. Despite these promises, the Andhra Pradesh Speciality Hospitals Association rejected the government's proposal, highlighting concerns for their financial sustainability.
The rejection, voiced by association president K Vijay Kumar, underscores a commitment to financial stability and collective strength. Kumar encouraged his peers to remain united, dismissing rumors and maintaining their stance for the future viability of the health services they represent.
