The Uttarakhand government, collaborating with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bolster health services in the state's 108 border villages.
The Swasth Seema Abhiyan initiative, launched in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, aims to deliver integrated primary health services to borders regions, specifically in Pithoragarh, Chamoli, and Uttarkashi districts.
This agreement ensures that ITBP will station qualified doctors and paramedical staff, establish medical examination rooms, and offer telemedicine services, facilitating continuous healthcare support. The state government will complement this by providing essential medical equipment, ensuring consistent supplies, and managing emergency evacuations and telecommunications.
