The Madhya Pradesh government faces a health crisis following an outbreak of vomiting and diarrhoea in the Bhagirathpura area, which has been linked to contaminated water sources.
The state government submitted a 158-page status report to the Indore bench of the High Court, detailing seven confirmed deaths, including an infant, during the period between December 28 and January 12. However, the report fell short of conclusively determining the disease responsible for these fatalities.
Amidst ongoing court hearings and petitions, the government has initiated measures such as the closure of contaminated water sources and provision of clean water, while further investigations and public health actions are underway.
