India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar declared that the nation will not bow to nuclear blackmail while maintaining a firm stance against terrorism. He emphasized that India will not tolerate terrorists as proxies nor spare governments that support them.
Jaishankar's remarks come in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 dead. He described the assault as an 'act of warfare' designed to disrupt Kashmir's tourism industry, a vital economic pillar.
In an interview with Newsweek, Jaishankar insisted on zero tolerance for terrorism, urging international bodies to recognize the universal threat it poses and denounce any state-sponsored terror activities.
