Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has lashed out at opposition parties, accusing them of spreading misinformation about his government's flagship 'Ladki Bahin' scheme. The initiative, aimed at providing financial aid to eligible women, has become a point of contention months ahead of the state's assembly elections.
Speaking in Thane, Shinde dismissed claims that the scheme was election-focused. He assured the public that the initiative is purely for their benefit, highlighting the state's allocation of Rs 45,000 crore to ensure its continuation. 'Our intention is to integrate all citizens of the state for their progress and development,' Shinde stated.
The Chief Minister also underscored his government's commitment to tribal welfare, revealing plans for the inspection of ashram schools.
