Acid Attack on Law Student and Lawyer Sparks Outrage in Uttar Pradesh
A law student and lawyer were injured in an acid attack by two motorcycle-borne attackers in Uttar Pradesh. The incident prompted lawyers to boycott work and demand immediate arrests and the implementation of a lawyer protection law. Both victims were hospitalized but are out of danger.

A law student and a lawyer sustained injuries in an acid attack carried out by two motorcycle-borne assailants in Uttar Pradesh, according to police reports on Wednesday.
The attack occurred on Tuesday as the LLB third-year student was returning home from court on a motorcycle, accompanied by a lawyer.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Avinash Pandey confirmed that both victims were hospitalized and are currently out of danger. An FIR has been lodged under Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita section 124 (1) for causing permanent or partial damage or burns by throwing acid.
In response to the incident, lawyers staged a boycott and marched in protest on the Collectorate premises. They demanded the swift arrest of the perpetrators and the implementation of a lawyer protection law in the state.
