Russian guided bomb attacks on Thursday resulted in the tragic deaths of at least two people and injuries to 12 more in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region, local authorities confirmed.
The strike targeted a civilian enterprise in the Kupiansk district, igniting a fire and injuring six employees, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on Telegram.
In a separate incident, six people, including a 12-year-old child, were injured in the Zolochiv village when Russian forces dropped two bombs, damaging administrative buildings, a kindergarten, and over 20 private homes, the regional police mentioned on Telegram.
Kharkiv, the country's second-largest city, and its surrounding areas have been recurrent targets of Russian aggression. Despite Moscow's claims of avoiding civilian targets, the ongoing strikes have resulted in significant civilian casualties and destruction.
