The Punjab Police on Sunday dismantled a cross-border arms smuggling module linked to Pakistan, arresting one individual amid intensified crackdowns.

Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav revealed the recovery of five pistols from the accused, identified as Sandeep Singh of Khalra village in Tarn Taran.

The operation, involving swift coordination by Counter Intelligence Amritsar, intercepted a weapon consignment allegedly orchestrated by a Pakistan-based handler and aimed at arming local criminals.
