Police Rescue Baby Boy from Trafficking Racket in Jharkhand
A five-day-old baby boy was rescued by police after being sold for Rs 3 lakh in Palamu, Jharkhand. Two individuals have been detained as the investigation continues. Police emphasized that no one involved in the trafficking will evade justice.

In a concerning incident in Jharkhand's Palamu district, a five-day-old baby boy has been rescued by police from an illegal adoption plot. Officials reported that the infant was allegedly sold for Rs 3 lakh to a couple in the area.
Authorities have apprehended two suspects in connection with the case as the matter continues to be under rigorous investigation. The Superintendent of Police, Aman Kumar, confirmed that the infant is now in the care of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and assured that all culprits will be apprehended.
The Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Neeraj Kumar, highlighted that the baby's mother's health is currently poor, rendering her unable to speak; she may also be unaware of the incident. An FIR has been filed at the Danda police station, and further inquiries are ongoing.
