Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday vehemently condemned a terror attack on Hanukkah celebrations at Sydney's Bondi Beach, expressing solidarity with victims and the nation. Addressing the press alongside Israeli counterpart Gideon Moshe Sa'ar, he underscored a shared policy of 'zero tolerance' against terrorism between India and Israel.

Jaishankar's two-day visit to Israel, marked by important discussions, emphasized strengthening the strategic partnership which has considerably evolved over the past decade. Bilateral talks, aiming to foster collaborative growth, further explored avenues in defense, culture, and technology sectors. Jaishankar reiterated India's support for the Gaza peace plan.

This diplomatic engagement aligns with preparations for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's anticipated visit to India. Building on the recent signed agreements, India and Israel show promise of deepening cooperative ties with initiatives across investment, academia, and defense sectors, alongside the proposed Free Trade Agreement.
