Five individuals have been indicted in Poland for orchestrating a Russian-backed sabotage plot aimed at dispatching explosive parcels to the UK, the U.S., Canada, and other locations, as revealed by prosecutors on Friday.
The group, comprising four Ukrainian nationals and one Russian, allegedly acted on behalf of Russian intelligence services. They were reportedly involved in planning or executing acts of sabotage targeting logistics and aviation infrastructure.
Key perpetrators involved are accused of devising explosive parcels, with specific plans to send test packages to North America. Charges have been formalized, and those found guilty face life imprisonment sentences.
