Ex-Government Employee Charged in Migrant Relief Fraud Case
The Economic Offences Wing of Jammu and Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against Mohammad Hussain Shah, a former government employee, for fraudulently claiming migrant relief funds. Shah unlawfully registered as a migrant, misrepresented his status, and continued to receive benefits while still in government service.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Jammu and Kashmir's crime branch has filed a chargesheet against Mohammad Hussain Shah, a former employee in the Public Health Engineering Department.
Charged with fraud, Shah is accused of illegally receiving Rs 18.3 lakh as migrant relief by unlawfully registering himself and his family as migrants.
The EOW investigation revealed he misrepresented his employment status, causing financial loss to the government while gaining personally from the scheme.
