The Congress has officially lodged a complaint with the Election Commission concerning a BJP advertisement that targets the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance leaders. According to Congress, the ad contains baseless allegations and negative portrayals aimed at misleading voters.
Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary in charge of communications, beseeched the election body to take immediate action by ordering the removal of all related videos, accusing the BJP of violating the Model Code of Conduct and electoral laws. Ramesh also called for action against the BJP's official Facebook handle for Jharkhand.
The controversial advertisement reportedly casts Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in a negative light, suggesting anti-tribal stances. With assembly elections on the horizon, the Congress is urging a swift response to ensure fair play.
