In a bid to bolster its organizational framework, the Punjab Congress Political Affairs Committee gathered for a pivotal meeting on Thursday. Chaired by Bhupesh Baghel, the committee dissected six critical agendas centered around micromanagement and grassroots connectivity.
Addressing the media, Baghel underscored the importance of reaching out to diverse societal segments, including farmers, women, youth, and Dalits. He outlined plans for training programs and the establishment of booth committees to elevate state issues at the grassroots level.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, speaking in Ahmedabad, acknowledged the Congress Party's longstanding absence from power in Gujarat. He highlighted the need for the party to fulfill its duties before seeking electoral support. Gandhi candidly critiqued the party's inability to meet Gujarat's expectations over the past 30 years.
